Ragnar!

A relay race of pure agony but yet a pure sense of accomplishment all at the same time. It begins in Logan, Ut and ends in Park City,Ut. 180 some odd miles of dirt roads, up-hills, down-hills, and long stretches of road. But in the end it's all worth it. This year Trent and I have trained really well and are prepared. The first year we did it together was the year we got married...yah that was a bad idea. We got married in May and the race was in June...we ran like a total of 2 miles at one time...whoops.

My Best Friend's Wedding

In October 2010 Trent's best friend Shane got married in Michigan. So we flew out with our friends Andrew and Cassie so we could be there for the big day! It was so much fun! We are going to Michigan over Memorial Day weekend to visit them again! We can't wait!

Andrew, Shand, and Trent

In Aarmada they have a haunted hay ride and all sorts of fun things for you to do around Halloween. That's where the boys found their big monster friend :)
Then in January of 2012 they were sealed in the Oquirrh Mountain Temple.
This was a really neat/scary experience for me. I was able to be Kelsey's escort through the temple when she got her endownments out. It was very humbling and I felt very honored that Kelsey trusted me to be her escort.

California!

In March '11 we got to go to California with Trent's family and go to Sea World, Disney Land, and California Adventures! It was really fun! It is the first time I have been to California which made it even more fun since I have never been there before.

On our own.....at least we want to be....

Trent just graduated from college in December! Yay! But in February '11 we moved in with his parents to pay off school and save some money and then when he graduated we would find a house and live happily ever after...Yah well that's not exactly what is happenig. In October we started seriously looking for houses so that by December we could have a house or be moving in before the year mark of moving in with the in-laws. We found a house that we love and began the process to find out how we could get this dream house of ours. Well, it's a short sale. Yah good luck with that one right. It is now April 19th and we are still waiting...the bank has accepted the offer we just need the written agreement so we can sign the papers. We have heard we should get the papers this week! So we will see how that pans out. Hopefully that is true because when that happens that house will consume this blog with all our remodeling projects and demolition :)

Temple Trips

Ever since we have started dating we have enjoyed going to the temples and getting our pictures in front of all the ones that we can. So these are most of the temples we have been to...there will be more to come in the future I'm sure.

Primary

Trent and I have taught the 8 and 9 year olds in Primary for the last 2 1/2 years now, and it's great! My cute Trent is the youngest of 4 in his family and I am the oldest of 5, so Trent is still learning what things you should and shouldn't say to kids. It makes every Sunday a new adventure haha. Here are some of the stories....

Trent is short...poor guy...and has been his whole life and is one of the things he is known for :) So in the middle of one of our lessons one of the kids pipes up interrupting the lesson and turns to Trent and says, "Are you a nidget?" Trent stops and looks like he is about to cry and responds "Am I a ninja? Heck yes I'm a ninja!" then the little boy says "NO! A nidget! You know, like one of those really small people?"
Yah he meant midget...Let me just tell you Trent's self esteem when down about 10 notches that day haha.

Another day we were talking about the Second Coming and how we will be made whole again. So this one little boy in our class is so cute and always has really good questions and comments raised his hand and asks "Why does God make some people look funny?" K what do you exactly say to that? So we asked him what he meant and then he proceeds to tell us how there was a boy that came and visited him at their school and he had really short arms and only 2 fingers on each hand but he could play the piano really good and then asks again "Why does God make people look like that?" and this was Trent's response...."Well you see...when babies are made the parents chromosones mix together and..." Me,"Whoa Trent that is not what he is asking." Trent, "I know I'm getting there. So anyways when the chromosones mix together sometimes they don't work..." and that was the end of that...all the kids just sat there with a look on their faces like what the freak are you talking about. Priceless. I think we recovered pretty well but I don't think they learned much from the lesson other then a new word.....chromosones............

Then this other time we were talking about the second Article of Faith and how Adam and Eve were kicked out of the Garden of Eden and this same little boy that always has good questions asks "What was Adam's punishment for eating the fruit?" so we tell them that he was sent to earth and he says " Well that's not so bad." so then we proceed to tell him about how the Garden was perfect and all this and how there was no running water and houses or bathrooms (trying to put things in perspective) so then he asks "Then where did they go to the bathroom?" so Trent pipes in "Probably by a tree, and they didn't even have toilet paper!" really Trent you had to through that in the mix? haha so then this little boys face gets this disgusted look and covers his face and says "I just had the worst picture come in my mind! Eww that is gross!" and proceeds to act like he is gagging...I don't know what he pictured in his head and I don't really want to but I don't think he got his question answered....hahaha

About Us...

We went on our first date May 14, 2008, the week of my High School graduation. Trent had been home from serving an LDS Mission for just about a year. We went on a typical "first date" dinner and bowling.... and that's all it took. May 14, 2009 we were married in the Timpanogos Temple.

Trent and I have been married for 3 years now. I can't believe how fast the time goes! We don't have any kids yet so we are just enjoying our time together :)
Trent- (aka: Mr. Frodo, Wee Man, Woolsey, Nidget, etc.) is a complete goof ball. He is hilarious! He is a 10 year old trapped in a 26 year old body. He loves playing sports especially soft ball and will be playing on 2 leagues this year, so every Monday and Tuesday nights that is what he will be doing, and I will be at every one :) He is trying to start a clothing line called Sosiety (which he is obsessed with haha). He graduated from Weber State in Dec '11 in Technical Sales and is so glad he has no more homework or finals.
Me- I'm the more serious one in the relationship. Trent helps me relax and enjoy things that don't need to be worried about. I don't have many hobbies, I rode horses and showed them for about 6 yrs until my horse Juniper had to be put down. Horses are my passion. If I had the property and money I would own at least one. Only, I have one problem...Trent is deathly allergic to them. he can't even walk by one without sneezing or his eyes getting all itchy. It breaks my heart. But Trent is so amazing and tells me every day that one day he will buy me one even tho it might kill him haha. I also enjoy running. Trent and I have done Ragnar/Wasatch Back for 3 yrs together and will be running it again this June. I'm not going to school and I'm not really planning on going (don't judge) I love being with my family and absolutely love the Utah bubble and don't want to live any where else!
