Birthday Boy!

Trent's birthday was on the 19th and he turned 27! Wowser my man is getting old!

But he still manages to stay young :)

Lost...

3 years and 10 months...that's a long time for Trent to have something and not lose it...the only problem is this isn't just "some thing" that he lost......
He lost his wedding ring :(

We have searched every where. The only problem is that it could be any where from here to Salt Lake so we are pretty sure it's a gonner. Good news is I went back to the place I got his ring and we can get the same one so we are going to save up and get him a new one.

Meet Horton...

The Orange Tree!

One of my dreams has always been to pick a tree of an orange and eat it. I just think it would taste so good! So last summer we found an orange tree at Home Depot of all places and Trent let me buy it! I am not a good gardener so I've been trying really hard to keep this little guy alive and just recently something started growing on one of the limbs... 

Meet Horton...I call my tree Horton like Horton Hears a Who by Dr Seuss because that's what it reminds me of. I'm pretty sure that it's not going to turn into an orange I can eat but I'm so excited that it's starting to grow! I thought that it was going to be a flower but it is not blooming so I don't exactly know what it is yet but I'm just glad I'm not killing it haha.

February...

Trent and I celebrated our 4 years from the day we got engaged on the 16th...I can't believe how fast time goes. My sister Jordan got engaged on the 22nd and they are getting married on April 25th so that is really exciting. Trent is in the Stake Athletics which he enjoys but right now they are playing basketball..and basketball isn't really his sport...the other day Trent got poked in the eye and it scratched the white part of his eye pretty bad and it was really gross...luckily it just missed the muscle in his eye and he wont lose any of his eye site haha so that is wonderful.

We also went to the Natural History Museum in Salt Lake with my family...


Trent said if he could be any of those dinosaurs he would be that one...yes my husband is still 7

January...

My dad finished our cabinets and Trent finished the back splash in our kitchen and it looks SO good! It is so nice to have a functional kitchen! (I will post pics soon) We also finished painting the master bedroom and we are no longer living in one of the spares which is fantastic! I think all the big projects are done for a little while and now we are just working on the little touch up things.

 

We also booked our flights for the Caribbean!!! We are going back to Trent's mission over our 4 year anniversary in May! We are only going to St Lucia because we can't afford to fly to all of the islands that he served on but we can't wait!

 

It's been a while...

December...
Christmas was great. It was so good to be home for Christmas. Last year we went on our cruise which was so much fun but we definitely were sad to miss all the family traditions, such as going to Salt Lake to see the lights...so this year we soaked it all up and enjoyed every minute of it. We got an iPad from my parents which we love and Trent somehow got super lucky and won a Kindle Fire from his work party and for our gift to ourselves we got a new laptop! So we are all new and high tech all of a sudden which is pretty sweet haha.
